Owner Caleb Matthews grew up outside Sanford and spent his early working years around excavation, drainage, and property maintenance. He liked work where the solution was not always visible at first. On rural and semi-rural properties throughout Lee County, he repeatedly encountered septic problems that had been mistaken for ordinary plumbing clogs or yard drainage issues. A wet patch could turn out to be a distribution problem. A house full of slow drains could begin with a buried sewer blockage. Those jobs pushed him toward learning the septic side of the trade in greater depth.
Caleb eventually started Septic Repair Sanford with a simple idea: customers should be able to describe what they are seeing without already knowing what failed underground. The company's job would be to investigate the system, explain the likely cause, and recommend the work that matched the condition. He kept the business centered on Sanford because this is the area he knows best, from older properties with little septic documentation to newer homes built outside public sewer coverage.
As the workload grew, Caleb brought in Marcus Hales, a hands-on service technician with a strong mechanical background, and Erin McNeill, who coordinates scheduling and customer communication. The three share the same view of the trade: good septic work is equal parts practical skill and clear explanation.
